First Pippies of the Year!

Finally on day 67 my first clutch has pipped. This clutch should be fun, hypo/strawberry anery motley male X hypo/strawberry amel het anery.

So I could get hypos, strawberries, hypo/strawberries, ghosts, strawberry aneries, hypo/strawberry aneries... And now that I have pippies the male has proven to be het amel so I could get hypo amels and snows, strawberry amels and snows and hypo/strawberry amels and snows. I just have no idea how I am going to tell the hypos from the strawberries from the hypo/strawberries!

Re: First Pippies of the Year!

Seeing pics of these guys peaking out of the eggs really makes me want another corn. Motleys are my favorite I think you should post pics of the first one out...

Idon't think it will be that hard between hypo and strawberry, from all the pics I can find of hatchlings of the 2, the hypo is definately more orange and the strawberry more red, even as hatchlings, and the hypo is darker. I am having problems finding pics of hypo strawberry hatchlings, so your guess is as good as mine.

Wish we were closer, I sure would love one or 2 of those strawberries!!

Re: First Pippies of the Year!

I know, we could ship to the broker in WA state, I am allowed tp drive it across without a cites (have to meet with fish & wildlife though), but I won't be able to get my enhanced licence to get across the border till the fall. And for corns I have no more room until hubby gets the planned wall rack built!!

I doubt I would be able to get one of yours this year, are you going to do strawberries next year too?? probably be able to pull it off then!!
