Is this a Sign?

Ok Schatzis been restless again so this time I thought Id put in a moist box right away and she took right to it. Now, I dont know how this double clutch thing works with the timing of it all or maybe its just wishful thinking but she went stright from under the newspaper right to that box within minutes of putting it in. What do you guys think?

Re: Is this a Sign?

I really don't know, I haven't had any double clutch yet. I do know that when they are fixing to lay their first clutch, that my females usually head straight for their lay box.

Re: Is this a Sign?

Double clutching means laying a second clutch of eggs shortly after the first one

Re: Is this a Sign?

If a female is going to double clutch she will usually do it around the time that the first eggs are due to hatch. She will have a prelay shed just like for the first clutch.

Can you fell eggs in her? Even if you can, sometime they are infertile and she may lay them or resorb them.
