Waxy bellies!

Both Xena's and Luigi's belly turned opaque within the last couple days. So please cross your fingers that they'll both have successful sheds!

I'm leaving them alone and not feeding them this weekend.

I'm especially excited for Luigi's shed since he's much bigger than my other snakes!

If I get to them before my better half, I just throw them away. If she gets them she either saves them (why I don't know), or takes them to where she gets her nails done. I guess they use them for patterns or some girl kinda thing. I just toss em though.

Re: Waxy bellies!

We save ours for presentations. Sometimes we let classrooms keep them.

Re: Waxy bellies!

i have a few nice whole ones i've kept : ) I have a "snake shed tree"...a plant on our window sill i keep haning them on...hubby makes fun. I just love their little sheded faces!!!! I toss a lot of them, either they've torn it, pooped on it, or it stinks like snake drool (the hoggies are the worst for this). A couple i've washed and dried

I take my burms shed and let it go in the wind to float around the neighborhood. Keeps people one their toes.
