Non-snake newb
Hey everyone,
I bet you are all wondering why I would join this forum if I don't own snakes... Well I wanted to join for 2 reasons:
1) I am interested in different feeders for my chameleon (specifically Dubia roaches), and came across a bunch of stuff on this lovely site about them.
2) snakes are pretty damned cool. So it has been fun looking at people's pets. =)
I live in BC and am trying to locate B. Dubia, but I will create a different thread for that. Just thought I would say hello first, and thanks for reading!
justin.

well then... since you asked... =)
this is Gordon about 2 weeks ago...
This is Gordon going through his first shed since he's been with us (about a week ago)...
Gordon is Nosy By Panther Chameleon. We got him from a local breeder at a local reptile show (BCRC Show) at the end of April. He's kind of awesome. =)

Re: Non-snake newb
Can't wait to see him as a adult, I hope he will be very blue when he is older. I wish I had the space for a chameleon they are awesome. What do you have him in? Also I think Roaches are illegal in Canada or is it just Albert? Anyways.....welcome.

I hope he gets to be a nice blue too! I have pics of his parents, so if he turns out anything like his dad, I'll be quite happy (not that I wouldn't be happy anyways!). I currently have him in a 12x12x18 exo for now. I have a 24x24x48 reptibreeze for him with a misting system for when he gets a bit older. Probably switch him to his new home in a month or so. Using all live plants for him (Schefflera Arboricola right now, a 'Money Tree' and a Pothos for his big home). As for the Dubia, they are totally illegal. =( I still want them though. Haha. I know they are around, it's just trying to find them that is difficult. It drives me crazy when I am on forums and everyone form the US talks about how perfect of a feeder they are. It's so frustrating. I could totally understand if they could escape and take over Canada, but realistically they would die off pretty quick seeing as they are a Tropical Roach.

Re: Non-snake newb
Sounds like you got it all set. Make sure to switch him to the reptibreeze as soon as possible. They need alot of air flow.
