Introducing Jarvis and I

Hi all, just introducing myself here. My name is Shae and I have a carpet python named Jarvis that was born in late '08. He's pretty sweet. He may even have some diamond in him...not sure. What do you guys think? How much do you all think he's worth?

Welcome, I agree it does look like he has diamond in him.

Also it's best to keep snakes and cats separate, even if they seem fine either of them could freak out so it's best just to play it safe.

Really nice looking carpet you got there! I know next to nothing about genetics in carpets but he does look like he's a diamond cross.

Oh yeah, welcome to our zoo!

I was going to say Welcome and comment on the snake, but you totally lost me with the How Much Do You Think He's Worth.

Re: Introducing Jarvis and I

It's folks like you that make me not want to join herp forums. I was asking the question because since I just got into grad school and may not have enough time to care for him the way he deserves. So if there ever comes the time to re-home him, I want to weed out the less serious people. I didn't think that I'd have to explain myself, but I suppose I have to in order to avoid anymore scathing comments.

To everyone else, thank you for the welcome! And youngster, you don't have to worry; my cat is kept far away from my critters. I'm more worried about him causing trouble than Jarvis!

hello and welcome

with carpet pythons it's really hard to tell what they are, without knowing their lineage

imo,he looks like either a coastal or a jaguar sibling

price wise imo he's worth $75 to $100

i hope you manage to hold onto him,as carpets are great snakes to keep

cheers shaun

Re: Introducing Jarvis and I

Yall are seriously making me want to keep him now, despite my school issues. I also still live with my parents and they despise my poor snake, and they are always nagging me to get rid of him. I won't be living home forever, though, so I really think that I'll hold onto him. My goal is to get a PhD as a herpetologist, so why get rid of my baby?
