first shed.....YAY!!!!

Spike, my baby burm, finally had his first shed...well the first since i've had him. it started in the middle because i was holding him at the time and he kept rubbing on my knuckle and it just started there and within minutes (i put him back in his tank instantly cuz i was worried that i'd hurt him) he was shed and even ate a good sized rat. he is now fat and happy and i am soooooooooooo relieved that it is finally over. his eyes turned blue like almost two weeks ago, so i was worried, sigh. im a mother hen over him.

I know what you mean about the mother hen syndrome. I am the same way though I'm getting better.
