Hewwo pepies
Hello everyone l'm new this forum and would like to introduce myself,lve been keeping snakes for over 35 years!yeah thats right l did say 35 years!in England l've watched it grow from next to nothing to the hobby we have today!to be honest its not all been good,some things have really improved and others are going backwoods,but hey thats another story,So say hello and lets chat

l'm in the West Midlands,we are on the edge of the greater Birmingham area the second city after London in England,its the industrialised area of the UK,lots of aerospace,car factories,in a 30 minit radius you've got Jaguar cars,Landrover,the site where they made the spitfire planes,we live just on the edge,Wales is about an one hour drive from my house,how about you?

in England in the Mid 70's we had nothing!,no products,no frozen,we just had about three big importers,l was very lucky in that lived about 40 mints away from the biggest one,everything was W/C and adult except the larger pythons they would all be hatchling or youngsters,we had to make do with converted fish tanks for vivs, household light bulbs for heat,really basic stuff,that was the bad side,but the good was the shear variety of the shipments that came in,l've been trying to tell some of the other newer hobbyists but they do'nt seem to get it,l've seen Boas that l've never seen in the hobby or on any of the forums, these had massive heads,where salmon pink with deep red tails,l've seen a 4 ft Burmese python lay eggs!l could go on and on,but the mortality rates where high,it was a 60-40 % that the rep's would get established let alone breed,l must admit that l find a lot of the newer hobbyists are abit arrogant we there achievements(some good other rubbish)they presume that all of the currant achievements or down to them,l've pointed out that before google/wiki/www/ there was a thriving reptlie hobby for many years and that all of they currents success's are built on the hard work of all the hobbyist in the past

at the mo l've working with about 30 corn snake morphs,lots of Garter/Water/Ribbon/snakes,rat,king,milk,some boas and pythons.
So as you can see l like my American snakes

Taxa wild, not much mate I'm in Victoria (reptile desert of the mainland due to the climate)
