Clementine's evening wear
I hadn't seen her in whitewash before. I also have a question regarding the color change Rainbows experience. I've been told that at her age, I should notice a difference with every shed. Now, does the color change in shades, or just a few scales at a time? The,reason I ask is she has these tiny specks of orange on a few/several scales that I hadn't seen before. Is that her changing color, or will her whole body change to lighter shades? Hope that makes sense.
I know these aren't the best pics..but I hope you enjoy Clementine.

Re: Clementine's evening wear
Roy, generally color changes happen to the whole colored area(s) at once, and (except for the first shed or two) are very gradual. I've seen snakes with off-color scales before, usually arranged in a set place or pattern that recurs over the body -- often lining a back spot as above, or a side ocelli. I've not yet determined, however, if those are a marker for anything in particular. Some snakes seem to keep them forever.

Re: Clementine's evening wear
Thanks Cliff. The camera didn't pick it up very well, but some of her, I guess "brown" scales now have small flecks of orange. I was thinking/hoping that was a sign of good things on the horizon.

Yeah, I agree, both my Brazilians are going through that color change now. Its the whole colored area at once and its a gradual change from shed to shed.

Re: Clementine's evening wear
I'm dying already because Penelope still hasn't shed even though she's been cleared up for almost a week and Zeus hasn't even started showing signs yet...
But I'm doing the salt test on all my hygros, so we shall see. I threw the analog one in there too just to see how accurate it is. The analog one shows a lot higher than my digital ones, so I want to see if it's just that inaccurate or if the new digital ones just needed to be calibrated.
