i just bought 2 new jungle x diamond carpet pythons one male 1 female i was told the female could possibly have eggs starting to develop in her and was looking for idea for hovabator. taking both to vets on thursday to get them seen to the male has an injured mouth and wanna get female checked to see if she does have eggs in her, they are both about 5 and half feet and bout 2 and a half yrs old.

hello and welcome

if you could post some pictures,someone may be able to advize on his mouth problem

check he does not have a tooth,hooked into his OWN lip,or gum,other things to look for would be,fungis like dark patches inside the gum and mouth area

don't worry when you first look in the mouth,as carpets have fairly dark mouths in places,mouth rot is fairly easy to spot and some can be removed,with a cotton bud,then a trip to the vets

it may be one,or none of the above,i'm just thinking out loud,as to causes of mouth problems

pictures would be a great help mate

here are 3 pictures, 1 is of both them together. i could only get it to open its mouth partly cause the rest of the house is asleep, i have made an appointment for vets on Thursday already.

good luck at the vets, hope it's nothing serious.

just buy a havobator, they're cheap and once you have them calibrated, easy to maintain.
