I can't believe the amount of mileage I put beneath my boots only to find one falling from the sky in the garage.....

^^^^^
as soon as i started reading this thread,i immediatly started to picture you randy.....
trecking over miles of sweltering desert, hiking up mountains, scaling cliffs, scrambling over ridges, finally getting to the top and.....
NOTHING
so,you then.....
repeat the proccess in reverse.....
upturning an empty water canteen,to find you've no more water, but your only a mile or so from home, you then precede to put your hiking gear in the garage,and.....
HEY PRESTO.....
a snake falls from the sky,to welcome you home
poor wee guy looks like he's had a very tough time of it,judging by all the chunks missing from his body
apart from the bite/crawling into a sharp thing, type marks, imo he looks quite healthy
cheers shaun
P.S.nice find, you earned it though mate

Re: Snakes do exist in Arizona.
LOL Shaun very descriptive. That's how it went, at least in my mind Only I repeated that process several times over the past year or two.
The little guy was fine, that was just poo on him.
No one knows what he is?

Re: Snakes do exist in Arizona.
In order to avoid doing work... Here are my guesses:
a Sonoran Lyre Snake
a Glossy Snake
or, a Coachwhip Snake

Re: Snakes do exist in Arizona.
I would say the coachwhip based on the similarity in the structure of the head.

Re: Snakes do exist in Arizona.
The more I look at it, the more I think it's a coachwhip.

Re: Snakes do exist in Arizona.
Coachwhip. Thanks Alessia. I was going through snakes of arizona and didn't see that one. I was leaning towards glossy or sonoran night snake.
