New to sSNAKESs
Hey all,
New to this forum but been around the hobby for a while. I have done what we tell all new comers to the hobby not to do, I was attracted to the possibility of turning my hobby into money. A couple years a go I was happy having a nice healthy corn snake collection. Breeding was going great...but my attention was caught by the all mighty possibility of profit that is ball python breeding...sold all my stock and bought a couple balls...well now, couple years later, never did breed the balls, missing the corns, so going the other way around. Selling all my balls and slowly rebuilding my corn empire MOUHAAAA!! ...ok maybe not, but going with the herps I really liek the Corn snake....
That is all

Re: New to sSNAKESs
Hi and welcome, Marc! Don't beat yourself up over your decisions- a lot of us have been seduced by the idea of turning a hobby into income (myself included). I rushed into things too and got in over my head for a few years. I agree with you that you have to own and work with what you love...and what you love may change/evolve over the years. There are soo many different types and morphs of snakes; it can keep you excited as a newb for the rest of your life!
I hope you enjoy your stay here; I've been on a lot of forums and this one definitely is the most welcoming, family-like community. There are a lot of really good, caring people here. Enjoy!

Re: New to sSNAKESs
Thank you all for the Welcome,
Nice to see new people and some familiar faces...well typed names
Someone asked what kind of balls I have before they are gone, here is the list;
1.0 Pinstripe
1.1 Pastel
1.0 100%Het Clown ( NGM Exotic with papers)
0.4 Normals.
What makes me sad about getting rid of them is that I tought I was so smart.
I tought my plan was fool proof.
Nice normals to get more pins, pastels and 1 pairing that could possibly give me lemonblasts...that would have funded the clown project...but BP's are cool but not as easy or fun as corns...DID I JUST SAY THAT???? yep I did... So sad to see my efforts in the BP world go to someone else, but glad that taking care of my reptile room won't be a job anymore and be what it should be, a fun hobby...
