My first B/P (and a second on hold!!)
So I ended up going in a slightly different direction than what I was first looking at.
The pastel on kijiji is being fed live mice (at 3 yrs old) and the owner admitted to regular bad sheds.
The rescue spider B/P is just a baby and has a pronounced head wobble, so I was advised against grabbing him.
So I called up henry Piorun (a very reputable breeder in my area) and mananged to find a beautiful Pastel male 2 yr old B/P for $100. and then he showed me the perfect female spider 50% PH Ghost who I put a deposit down on, so I will have second soon. But the female spider is just a baby born last fall.
So here is my very first B/P!! No name yet

And here is the female spider that I have on hold for me!!

LOL!! when I pay her off!! I am only allowed to use my snake-food profit for buying new snakes + my b-day $$ which I spent today.
I got him down to $350 for the female, and put down $85 today, so maybe 2-3 weeks and I can bring her home. Gives me time to get her set up done since I was only expecting to bring one home TODAY so only had one set up and calibrated!!

Re: My first B/P (and a second on hold!!)
me too!! she is so sweet, but until then, I'll get to know my boy!!
He's not shy at all. I took his pics and put him in his viv which he is exploring. I just went to see what he was doing and he came right up to the glass to "look back"
doesn't seem stressed at all. But then again, I am only used to what a stressed corn acts like, they get mean!!

Re: My first B/P (and a second on hold!!)
Henry said he had just eaten 3 days ago (as of yesterday) so I figured if I offered a rat in a week, he'll be good!!
He is from a really great breeder, this one!! Who feeds fresh killed to all his snakes, so I figure the difference between fresh killed and F/T can't be that much right, dead is dead after all!!
