Re: Snakes VS Lizards
Personally, I prefer snakes. - feeding is usually less often
- feeding can be frozen prey; no insects or fresh veggies needed daily
- no legs; I don't like lizards that jump

- much "cooler" feeding method IMO: constricting vs just catch and eating an insect
just a few I could think of right off the bat. I'm sure there's more. I love lizards to look at and what not, but I don't think it would be the right pet for me.

Re: Snakes VS Lizards
It really depends on the snake and the lizard. It's hard to generalize.

Re: Snakes VS Lizards
I'm with BB on this one.
Both will always hold a place for me.

Re: Snakes VS Lizards
I prefer snakes because they are much easier to take care of. My son had a couple of large iguanas when he was a kid and their high maintenance turned me off of lizards. Snakes are much more soothing to handle than lizards as well.

Re: Snakes VS Lizards
Snakes are definitely easier to take care of. Some lizards are an everyday pet. Snakes can usually go a few days without needing much of anything. I would have to agree with BB and Wayne, it would be too hard to pick one or the other. I like having both. As far as lizards go though, I really like the uromastyx because of their personalites and how easy it is to feed them. I really don't miss having to deal with feeder insects all the time.
