My snail set up!

Hey guys .so i bought a cheap 12 dollar filter for the snails! Im gonna go buy a 10 gallon tank I seen them for 24 dollars! This tank is gonna be way to small, when I get my first cluch the water is at 68 so I find that's a little to cold, I dot know what I'll do :/ maybe buy a cheap heater when I get the 10 gallon! Anyways here it is I also put tiles in my beardies tank and omg I love it 400 times more then carpet

wow $24 for a 10gl, here you can get them for $12 or even cheaper, when you get the 10gl get a little fish tank heater, the water needs to be nice and warm for them to breed and lay eggs.

Re: My snail set up!

Oh they need to be warm? I have a Uth for my lizards set up I can use! But Ever since I put tiles in my bearded enclosure, at night the tiles in the corner go 103f that's a heat spot that never changes I should go buy the 10g and a little heater

Re: My snail set up!

Try looking online first. There are always lots of people getting rid of small tanks for $10 or so. Sudbury is a decent size, there should be a few people there looking to see I would think

Re: My snail set up!

Not to support a Sav, but to supplement the diet, yes. If all that he has in there are snails, a 10 gallon should support quite a few.

What are you feeding your snails now?

Re: My snail set up!

Collard greens boiled, I can honestly say I think they won't breed if they lay eggs I'll buy a bigger tank! Money is hardly an issue!

Re: My snail set up!

When I used to breed apple snails.I used flakes and alage wafers meant for plecos.
I still use the same stuff for my red ramhorn snails that I breed for my oscar and puffer.
Works awesome!
