Packing mqterials

Tomorrow I'll be shipping animals for the first Tim. What items do I need, and where do I get them? Will FedEx have all I need?

Thanks!

From where to where are you shipping? You'll want to check the weather beforehand. If it's cold out, you'll want to put hand warmers / a heat pack in with the box. Use a pillow case to put the snake in. Then put the pillow case in a styrofoam box. Surround the space with crumbled newspaper so that the pillow case with the snake doesn't bump around. Then put the styrofoam box into the cardboard shipping box. This is the method used by Ship Your Reptile, which I recommend. Ship Your Reptiles - Ship Live Reptiles Easily, Securely and Affordably

Re: Packing materials

Ok, I've got two (2) :"24+ Hour" Ultra Warmers, styrofoam "Packing Noodles" and a cardboard box. Now, the warmers say "Average temp 124° Max. 149° when used as directed.

Does this sound adequate to get from IL to OH? Pickup is tomorrow morning, so I can't really get any more materials.

Thoughts?

to me this sounds just fine. its the same way the other 2 snake i received were packed.. i woudlnt worry about the heat packs, they usually dont get that hot unless you rub them alot. in my experiance any way, i think it would be great!

cant wait!!!

Re: Packing mqterials

Ok cool! The box had some air holes in the sides, but I've taped over those to keep the cold air out. Going to bed early so I'll be up in time to package these two up and send them your way!

Thank you!

You can never post too many pics. That way, I'll see them from YOUR point of view.

Looks like the weather is supposed to be in the mid 30's at night, the night temps are what you should worry the most about!
