Crawfish Boil
Have you ever had one of these?
Oh man this is so good. Last Tuesday, we went to a restaraunt called Fat Tuesday's that is owned by New Orleans transplants, courtesy of Hurricane Katrina. We heard they were going to making this for Mardi Gras and we love Cajun food anyway so we couldnt pass this one up.
We are repeat customers there because their food is unmatched by anyone.

Re: Crawfish Boil
Actually my favorite there is fried gator, followed closely by fried catfish. The froglegs appetizer is worth noting as well. Then theres the ettouffee, gumbo and the jambalaya. I like them all and especially when theyre spicy as Cajuns know how to cook.

Re: Crawfish Boil
I actually had a Crayfish for a while as a pet. We had them in our lake by our house so we took one home and put it in a tank. He ended up getting out and we found him under my bed! He was still alive and we brought him back. Now they are almost all gone from our lake because they removed the rock that they hid under. They are probably still in there but I haven't seen one for like 2 years.

Re: Crawfish Boil
I just want to say thank you New Orleans for producing this style of food and while the Hurricane was not a pleasant experience for anyone, Im glad this family decided to move here and set up shop, bringing with them that New Orleans flavor.

Re: Crawfish Boil
OMG! I love crawfish! But only if it's done right! Places around here will throw them on a bar and call it crawfish but they taste like nasty water. *barf*
We have a few good places here that do 'em right. Hot 'n spicy is the only way to go! With some boiled potatoes and corn on the cob, washed down with ice cold beer! Mmmm... now I want some and they're almost in season again!

Re: Crawfish Boil
MMMMMMMM... Cajun!
We've got a decent Cajun place downtown, I've got a jambalaya recipe I've been meaning to try.
