Oops, I bought a Skink...
I "accidently" bought a Blue Tongue Skink. I've named him/her Po (or Mr. Popo depending on gender).
Isn't s/he adorable?
His/her home.

Re: Oops, I bought a Skink...
He is adorable! Is there something going on with the top of his head? ( looks like shed) ??
I have been researching and wanting one of these for a while. I finally got it's home all set up minus the uvb/uva bulbs. I can not wait to have one.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on with the scales on its head. I just figured it was from a bad shed. I know that when I got my second BP as a baby, she had some weird scales on her head as well. When she shed again, the scales returned to normal. I'm sort of hoping that happens with this little one as well. I'm definitely keeping an eye on it though.

@Little Wise Owl Ssssshhh... secret :P
The only reason I ask is I'd love to accidentally buy another snake.

That's pretty much how it went. There's nothing wrong with accidentally acquiring new companions :P (provided you can adequately care for them)

Re: Oops, I bought a Skink...
Out of curiosity, how much do skinks usually cost? Is this one a special "morph"?

Re: Oops, I bought a Skink...
The mother of this baby was going for $300 and I got mine for $200. I've seen different sub-species go for $150-$300+. Po isn't any sort of special morph. I believe s/he may be an Irian Jaya but I can't say for sure. I don't want to bug her right now to check whether her belly is red/pink or not (indicating she's an IJ).
