Science Project

My science teacher gave my class a project on endangered species. Right away the one thing that shot into my mind was reptiles. My science teacher had a list of 290 different species that are endangered, but none of were reptiles. Right away I walked up to my science teacher and told him I wanted to do this project on a reptile. Well he agreed right away with a smile, knowing how much I love them. I jumped straight onto the computer and researched endangered reptile. The first thing that caught my eye were these beautiful Galapagos Land Iguanas. They are so beautiful. Their colors are outstanding. Unfortunately there are only about 5,000 to 10,000 left in the wild. Which is so sad, but captive breeding is helping bring up the population. It's incredible how mother nature can create something so beautiful. Here a picture of a beautiful little guy. Hope you enjoy.

Re: Science Project

Anything originating from those islands is simply stunning, and the reptiles are no exception. We're talking about evolution through geographic separation in one of my classes right now.
