Ordering some new cages!

Well, I figured it was time to start investing in some proper enclosures for my snakes. I'm about to put in a custom order with ConstrictorsNW for one of their Pro-line modular cages. Right now I'm going to be ordering a 48"x24"14" cage with 2 dividers to make 2 12"x24"x14" cages for my hognoses and a 24"x24"x14" cage for my juvenile red tail boa (who will get her own larger cage in the future).

I'm planning on using Flexwatt for heat along with my Hydrofarm thermostat, which I've been very pleased with so far. Once I have a larger setup I will probably invest in a nicer thermostate and use the Hydrofarm just for ambient temperature.

Re: Ordering some new cages!

May I ask how much that enclosure costs? And can you post pics or a link?

Re: Ordering some new cages!

Yeah well, I get paid this Friday and Animal Plastics is located here in the Des Moines metro. They told me half down to order a new one made and then the other half when its finished 5 weeks later. I figure thats quicker than waiting to see if one comes up on CL.

Sorry to intrude on your thread Insignia100. I think its great youre getting new caging and may it be everything youre expecting.

I have to build cages soon...... which sucks because I am also going to be moving in the next couple of months.

Constrictors Northwest

The base cage is the PLM 48x24x14 at $220 shipped. He told me it would be an additional $40 each for the dividers, so it should come out to $300.
