New Hypo Orange Tail RTB
Hey guys, sorry I haven't really been around. D: I've strayed from an internet life, for the most part, but I thought I'd share my latest addition to my collection.
I went to the Kentucky Reptile Expo today and came back with one heck of a deal!
I got a gorgeous Hypo Orange Tail RTB, an April 2011 hatchling, nearly a yearling, obviously, for only $70! It's really hard to tell, but she has a marvelous salmon color all along her side and a very vibrant orange along the last 3 - 5 inches of the tail. I should have gotten some belly pics because she has some amazing orange going on with those belly scales. She's also got an amazing personality to boot!
Here's some good pictures of her and her pattern/color.
I'm thinking about naming her Aurelia.
She's currently in a 20g long but I'm planning on buying a 50g and stuffing it with hides.
Thanks for looking, hope you liked looking at her! I'll try and respond to comments, promise!

Thanks! I'm super eager to hold her again, but she still needs a few days to adjust. D:

Great looking boa! Her coloration is very similar to my hypo Mario.

Thanks! I'll try and find some pictures of Mario, he sounds like a real beautiful boa! Then again, all snakes are in my eyes. xD

Re: New Hypo Orange Tail RTB
Just curious, but at what age would a red tail finally reach it's adult size? 3 years? Or longer?
Edit: And yes, I know there are variables such as how often you feed it, living conditions, etc. For this I say fed weekly. Day temp of 83 - 86F, night temp of 80 - 85F, humidity between 65 - 75% and I let this drop over the course of 3 days before boosting it back up as to prevent mold and bacteria. Daily water, hides on each side, etc.
