Looking for a puppy

Hey folks I am in the market for a nice little male Rottweiler puppy. Preferably not more then a couple months old. I am in Yuma, AZ. I have found a few breeders but to get a registered pup is just a bit more then I want to spend. If anyone knows where I can get a full blood with papers for under a grand I would be very interested.

Also, I think you're in the wrong forum... this forum is about reptiles, not puppies

Check your local shelter.

IDK, I think it's weird to ask for puppy breeders on here

I think the next dog we get will be a rescue mix but it would have to get along with my Yorkie he's almost 9 and doesnt like to share his mommy

Don't worry about that, once you convince them they are of the same pack, everything works out. My husky doesn't like to share me, but when we brought our Rattie home, it only took a week for them to become fast friends!!

Honestly, I'd have to agree. There are so many unwanted dogs out there that need a home. For that matter, check CraigsList -- there are often dogs on there as well, though obviously no guarantee of a rotti.

All my dogs have been rescue animals, and they have been the sweetest dogs I have ever owned. . If I do bend up getting another dog, I will be going back to my local shelters

Rescue one please! I have a rescue and she is awesome. I would never buy a dog from any breeder!

Re: Looking for a puppy

I always suggest the rescue route. I don't know what it's like in AZ. But I pull dogs out of southern Cali shelters and bring them home to BC to find new homes. I do this because in the cali shelters a dog has a max of 5 days from entering the shelter system to be adopted, then they are euthanized if no-one has spoken for them.

Re: Looking for a puppy

I think when we move I will look into it, we need a medium to large sized breed preferably a working or sporting class hubby likes to hike

Re: Looking for a puppy

Two of my three dogs, both my cats and two of my snakes are adopted/rescued. I'm definitely pro-rescue.

But I see no reason why someone shouldn't buy a pure-bred dog if that's what they want. My pure-bred golden retriever is my best friend and I wouldn't be without him for anything.
