I'm sorry for your loss. If you don't mind me asking, how old was she?

Re: Rip

I am so sorry. For you to even post this news shows she really meant something to you. Like Norm said, you're very fortunate to have known her. I remember meeting my great grandmother when I was very young, but I don't know much about her other than she was Polish and Catholic. So, I second the advice of holding those memories very closely.

Re: Rip

So sorry to hear, I third Nornm's thoughts. Not many of us get to actually KNOW our GG's and you are very fortunate to have been able to know her. Remember everything she taught you, those are good old fashioned values to be held on to.

I often forget how blessed I was to know her for almost 17 years.

Yes, you absolutely were extremely blessed in that. My gramma is almost 92, my son is 4. I hope she lives long enough that he remembers her well. You got 17 years with a GG. That really rocks!! Remember how lucky you are in that through your time of grieving and missing her.

Re: Rip

I'm really sorry for your loss, but don't dwell on that too much. Remember the good times you were able to spend with her. Very few people get to know their great grandparents, I only got to know my great grandmother (just the one) for about 8 years. She lived a very long life, 95 is quite impressive, even for this day.
