Happy Boxing Day?
ok so this is one of those holidays that we really dont celebrate here in the states BUT my hubby is from England. Since I am clueless about what it is or how its celebrated we have taken to random play punching matches around the house.

way back in the day.....
the day after xmas the WEALTHY english gave their servants and sometimes the poor a box to open with some presents
hence....boxing day

Up here in Canada it's basically another day off work, and the day that everyone goes out shopping to get the deals they didn't get before Christmas.

I planned to go boxing day shopping to get gifts for people I've missed, but I slept have my day away since I worked yesterday- and now it's time for drinks. Maybe next year. x_x

I loved the enthusiasm that Australians had celebrated the holidays when I visited Sidney. Boxing day mate Boxing day!!!!
Honestly though Santa had to hate Australia, bundled up in all those clothes in tropical weather!!?? lol

I know Shaun is right but i always thought that boxing day was the day that you pack up all the boxes from the presents ready to recycle

or.....
the day you have to take all the boxes and wrapping paper,back out the outside bin,then spread across the house floor.....
to look for a few little parts of the kids presents that got chucked away by mistake
i know its a tradition at mine i could do without
