Hallo from the Netherlands

Hi there.

I am originally from South Africa and have been into snakes since I was about 8. I have been living in Holland since '87 and have been out of the herp world since the end of 2004. During my last few years I used to keep a few hots but came into regular contact with the neighbourhood adders and cobras. When people know you have snakes and are not scared of snakes you tend to get called whenever a snake is found in a garden ;-)

I got back into herps in 2002. No hots anymore! I got seriously into my regius's, African House snakes and corns. Circumstances forced me to give up snakes at the end of 2004.

Once you get hooked on snakes you never get unhokked, .. or so it seems. Last Sunday I purchased a baby corn and I have a few more on the way. The idea is to set up a few breeding groups.

I might add a few house snakes at some stage too ;-)

Cheers,

Andrew

Re: Hallo from the Netherlands

So as promised a few oldie pics ... I have tones... will post a few select ones as I come across them.

A nice cheap rack ;-) This rack cost about 100 euros to make, I made two of them. It's actually a book case with a few mods ;-)

Re: Hallo from the Netherlands

A few pics of Inyoka, my all time favoriteAfrican House Snake, back then they were still called Lamprophis Fuliginosus, I so regret that I ever gave her away ... when I stopped keeping snakes I should have just kept her!!
