could I make this into an enclosure???

lol, My dog just HAD to steal the cat food can from the trash -.-

Of course I wouldn't have all that "junk" there but I'm just wondering if its a possibility. I really want to build my own enclosure for the first time, just trying to get some ideas.

Sweeet, Would it be safe tp paint over it and if so what type of paint should I use? I want to make it look natural and look like there are plants. I plan on adding some real plants as well. What types would you suggest that are hardy and don't die easily? lol
There is a first for everything and man am I getting a lot of first with this project! I'm stoked!

I wouldn't paint it. What I would do is get something like this that will fit the back. Looks to be about 36" wide, but you can get multiples of different sizes to fit most anything that's in multiples of 6 inches.
Exo Terra : Background / Rock Terrarium Background
Pothos are the generally recommended plant species for snake enclosures because they're hardy and won't get trampled by the snake.

Whats the enclosure for? most snakes will thrash live plants.
Its entirely possible, we could direct you further if we knew more about your plans.

Depends on the species, the larger species will thrash it easy.

Well guys this is for an atb. She will need some serious height building ..... well not serious but definitely more height.

I would start from scratch. Re-engineering furniture is a drag.

Re: could I make this into an enclosure???

Thanks for the info guys!!! I'm going to sketch something up and try and figure out exactly what I want to do with but I'm not entirely sure yet as I just thought up the idea last night.
And it's going to be for a 5 foot ATB! <3
How tall do yall think it should be? About the length of the snake?
and how would you recommend heating it? and holding in humidity?

And pothos plants look pretty cool. I like the colors.
Is there a possibility of getting a mini tree that would live in there?
