Sneezing retic?

So i just watched my retic sneeze or something like that and then she was rubbing her head on her cage. the inside of her mouth looks normal so i doubt that it is mouth rot.

Re: Sneezing retic?

Her humidity is a little low, up the humidity, Temps are low too on the low end, I only drop my temps down to 80 for breeding, and only for males.
Poss RI?

Re: Sneezing retic?

Humidity should be at 70-80% at all times

Re: Sneezing retic?

well i have the temp gradient so she can thermo regulate herself, but she has stopped doing it but if she continues to then that is probly what it would be so i will up the humidity and if it is an RI i can catch it earlier rather than later.

Re: Sneezing retic?

one of the members on retic nation had problems with one of his getting aspen stuck in her nostrils. Try switching to something with bigger chips or newspaper for a time and see if it stops.

Re: Sneezing retic?

well its not the thin strips of aspen like the zoomed stuff its like aspen chips. i found the bedding in the small pet section of petsmart and got it because it was 10 bucks for a really big bag and i new that i couldnt use pine or cedar for any reptiles.

Re: Sneezing retic?

Does the bedding smell strong?
Use newspaper as bedding, it might not look great but it does the job, they can't ingest it and it doesn't get stuck in their "noses"

Re: Sneezing retic?

aspen has dust, and even the bigger chunks will have small bits that break off.
