Nice grass snakes - are these native in the US as well? Seen a few in the wild over here.
(they are not garter snakes though)

No they are not US native, and until now virtually never seen in US snake collections.
They are not Garter snakes, but fall under the same class of Natracine snakes, Comprised of Natrix, water snakes (Nerodia), Storeria snakes and Thamnophis (Garter snakes)

very nice snakes mate. If I remember correctly they used be classified under the Thamnophis genus before being reassigned to Natrix.
