its entirely 3/4 inch maple veneer plywood lined with fiberglass reinforced paneling and pine trim. was going to build it out of pine but decided to spend the extra $50 and go with a really nice looking wood.
it is big, 70''L x 36''W x 28 tall and we left him about ten inches for soil to dig.

Re: New Tegu Enclosure
so i went to a glass cutting store today and the guy told me that the glass would scratch and over time would expand in the track and not slide, he said i should get plexiglass instead. has anyone had experience with this, i believe hes just giving me a run around,
in my opinion glass wouldn't scratch as easily as plexiglass. he mentioned tempered glass but said it was expensive. any opinions?

Re: New Tegu Enclosure
I think that glass would break to easily ( depending on thickness). I would go with Tempered glass.

Re: New Tegu Enclosure
As you are housing a large active lizard i would want tempered glass in there for his safety as much as yours.

Re: New Tegu Enclosure
even if he scratches it up, I would still go with the plexi.
