Re: red bulb at night

i used to use red bulbs all the time for both my boas and a CHE for my BP but i dropped a bulb and busted it so i got a 2nd CHE for the other boa. the CHE made it alittle hotter in his cage so now he's alittle bit more active.

to actually answer your question, i believe i have used a red bulb for my bp also.

I don't. I prefer the ceramics, they cost more, but I have only had to buy one in the past 1.4 years..and it still works

Re: red bulb at night

I use red bulbs for all 3 of my snakes 24/7... Seems to work well but it dries the air.

Re: red bulb at night

For my boa I have a black light that's on 24/7. My BP has a light during the day and a heat pad at night

i have a timer switch my ceramic heaters off at 9pm then back on again at 7am

it gives my carpets a nice night time temperature drop

the heat held in my house means their night time temps are around 60f to 70f winter, summer temps 70f to 80f

cheers shaun
