Aspen bedding

Is it okay to mist aspen bedding? my Burmese Python is going into shed. I switched him from Eco Earth to aspen on October 31st but i don't know if i can mist the aspen without something bad happening..

Re: Aspen bedding

Its fine. I use aspen for most of my snakes. It isn't good to keep it damp for days and days but a random mist here and there to help with shedding is fine.

Re: Aspen bedding

My snakes slosh the water bowl all over their aspen, and never had a problem yet.

Re: Aspen bedding

I've had no problem misting with Aspen bedding. Like Wayne, one of my snakes, My Ball Python, loves to slosh his water all over the place in his enclosure, and it's never been an issue, though i do tend to immediately clean out the damp aspen when that does occur

I can't do that.. Garter snakes are semi aquatic, so they will soak and swim every day.
