Got tagged again
I got tagged again last Tuesday, but it's not bad at all. I had the mice and rats thawing in my snake room and when I reached in the cage to get my baby pastel ball python he was already in feeding mode and tagged my finger. There's just a little blood, but I went ahead and took a pic.

Re: Got tagged again
I've only ever been tagged once in twelve years and that's having handled thousands of ball pythons tens of thousands of times.
Is getting tagged now a rite of passage of sorts; something to be proud of, or is the opposite true?
Just checking.

Re: Got tagged again
I plan on avoiding the tag. No need to be in the bite club for me

Re: Got tagged again
I've been tagged lots of times by wild snakes...usually in the process of rescueing them from my cats, but never by a tame one. Sheer good graces that the ones I have been bit by were not deadly.

Re: Got tagged again
I have been tagged 4 time by my snakes. One was my 200 gram female (Adrian), my 200 gram male pastel(Leonardo) and 2 times from my little 2-3 month old corn(he's so small it didn't leave a mark. I have also been tagged by a young buttermilk racer.

Re: Got tagged again
My baby jungle/coastal carpet python has bitten me lots of times. Less so, now that's she's getting older...and lordy i hope she stops eventually because that is going to HURT when she's big (she used to not be able to break the skin...now she surely does *lol*) Got bit by my rescued corn snake on the first day, but hey, that was understandable. She's not tried since then, and I like to think she's quite happy now. She's little too.
We got two balls from the pound a couple weeks ago, and one managed to tag me with a fang on one finger while it was striking at a rat...but it was an accident, and the poor thing couldn't see well since it was having a bad shed. The other one that DIDn't bite, actually chased my hubby across the kitchen when he got near it after it had already "killed" it's rat...so we call that one bitey *lol* he actually charged my foot today when i was walking by...little brat! I actually think it's pretty weird to have a bitey ball python. The only other time there was a bite was when my hubby was a little drunk and tried to feed our baby girl ball with his fingers *rolls eyes* she was pretty small at the time so didn't hardly break the skin. *lol*
I used to wear gloves when i handled my carpet python. She started biting again just when i figured i didn't need gloves anymore *lol*
