Cold Weather

In some parts of the united states its been really cold and it just snowed.

Do you think the population of snakes in the spring and summer will drop because of this

Re: Cold Weather

If they are indigenous, probably not- barring any disruption in their food availability before brumation. If they aren't, then yes, like the die out of Burmese in the Everglades.

Re: Cold Weather

I saw an absolutely beautiful Black Racer a few weeks ago when i took a walk down my street. He, or she slid across the road a few feet from me. I wish i had my camera with me at that moment, because it was a beauty

NORTHERN BLACK RACER??????
I'm not joking at all. That is my favorite snake of all time. They are threatened (Species of Special Concern) so I never see them
