Mister/Humidifier
Hi All,
My humidifier for my GTP tank just died on me and I am looking to get a misting system. There is one available at my local pet store, the Zoo Med Habba Misting System. I have also read a couple people recommend the Exo Terra Monsoon System. Does anyone have experience with both of these units to know which is the better system? The Zoo Med one is just down the road and I dont want to go too long without it, so thats what Im leaning towards. It is quite a bit cheaper though, and that usually means not as well built. So just wondering if anyone has had both before and whether they could offer advice about the comparison.
Thanks!

Imo humidifiers are cheap and reliable doesn't hurt to have both but definately get a humidifier for the room.

Re: Mister/Humidifier
I have a questions about these products. I read that Zoo Med's Repti-Fogger can be used in conjunction with the Hygro-Therm system to regulate heat and humidity. Does anyone know if the Habba-Misting system can be used with the HygroTherm also?

Ya I completely agree, these things seem to breakdown rather easily. I have a large room humidifier in my animal room, but even at full tilt that only keeps it at about 40-50%. For the GTP I need it much higher, and a misting system seems similar to their natural environment.

Re: Mister/Humidifier
Ok now I remember why I love CL! I happened upon a person who was selling his new Ecological Systems Rainmaker Misting System AND Habba Mister. I grabbed both, as well as a still-in-the-box digital thermometer/hygrometer, large Calcium powder, digital timer, and two Repti Sun 5.0 bulbs, ALL FOR $100! Score!

Re: Mister/Humidifier
I had the zoomed version once upon a time for my gecko and it didn't work well for long. Granted the version on shelves now is probably a bit different. I would put distilled water in it for sure if you live somewhere with hard water though or it will jam up with minerals.
Grats on the awesome deal!
