How to post pictures

I see a bunch of new people asking how to post pictures, so I figured I would make a write-up for the three most common browsers (also the three I've got available to me at work) for both simple types of image hosting sites that do most of the work for you, and more complex ones like flikr or my personal one. So here goes.

Google Chrome: Flikr (also works for google images and most other sites, you can get an image code straight from the picture with this method)
pull up the picture you want (after loading), right click, you'll get a window, open the size you want, I chose large

right click on the image, select "copy image URL"

click the little button in the "go advanced" button for threads, or "new thread" button if its a new thread and click on the little button that has a mountain and a moon (its also above the quick reply box) if you hold the cursor over it and don't click you'll get a little box that says "insert image"

paste the link

click enter and you'll see some [img] [ /img] boxes pop up with a url in the middle, like this

that's your image link. You can post up to 8 at a time in a single post on this forum.

Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox: photobucket
photobucket is nice and simple, pull up your album and find the picture you want. mouse over it (but don't click) and a box will pop up below it. The fourth option is "img code" just click on it and "copied" will briefly appear where the link is.

paste it in the window

Re: How to post pictures

firefox: flikr
much like google chrome (my personal favorite) firefox allows you to get the image rather quickly without looking too hard. Step 2 is the only one that's different. You click "copy image location" instead of "copy image URL"

internet explorer: flikr
I greatly dislike internet explorer. I deleted from my personal computers I hated it so much. Only reason I reinstalled it was because some internet software ONLY runs on IE. ANYWAYS
step 2 is different again, but there's two parts to it this time.
right click and select "properties"

you'll get a box, in it there will be a line that says "Address: (URL)" highlight and copy that, that's your url for the picture..

for higher details of the images I posted, go here, click on the image, and then click on it again for full size.

Re: How to post pictures

no worries, I should've made each one into a separate post. But I work quick.
edit: when I feel like it.
