Another Wannabe Drymarchon Couperi Owner

So after much research we have decided we must get this snake.
Yes I know they are messy...
Yes I know they are expensive...
Yes I know they are hard to get... So when I find them I better get a breedable pair
So my question is this .... I read the previous threads on people trying to get these or whoot they have eggs ect. but they never say if they got them or the eggs hatched or anything. Now we live in Canada ( Kitchener Ont.) and I am willing to do what it takes to bring these home. I need either actual Canadian breeder e-mail addresses or info on getting them across the boarder. These being a threatened species even adds more to my resolve. Cost is not an issue as I believe $1000 each is cheap compared to well bred dogs.
Please help me find a pair of these and maybe we can help get the Canadian wanna be owners 1 step closer. Anybody. Anyone. Bueller???

I think they are CITES, which make them very hard to possess. I only know of one person who owns one of these beauties, natsamjosh who's on this forum.

Again hard but not impossible. If others can do it so can I. I think if these were $100 snakes there would already be lots of people who have done this. Yes it would be best to find a Canadian source but I still haven't found a single
Thing on the net that says it's illegal just difficult. I am willing to put up with a lot of crap to get these including going to pick them up in person if I have to. A mountain of paperwork doesn't phase me.

They are not that hard to find if you put the word out to other keepers who live in the southern US. I have had them offered for sale to me 3 times. I passed them up because I did not want to deal with the paper work. Keep looking and you will find them. Good luck.

Sorry I missed this thread, haven't been online much lately. Indigos aren't CITES I, so that's not applicable. Unfortunately I don't know the rules regarding exporting out of the country. I'm only familiar with the laws within the US, one of which is a Federal law requiring an "Interstate Commerce" permit (from the US Fish and Wildlife service) to transport the snake across state lines.
