Post Shed BRB
I woke up this morning to go pick up the new hard top for my Miata (woot) and looked in the viv and there was a nice present for me. Nero shed! (woot woot) Perfect shed too! (woot woot woot) Eye caps in place and no tears anywhere. All one piece.
Pre-shed, you can see he was pretty dull, but not really blue.

The shed, that's a 36x24 piece of paper and it runs the length diagonally. But he's really only about 22 inches

one side of the head

the other side, you can see the buggle of the eye cap dead center by that large (relative) chunk of cyprus mulch

hmm... what is this strange surface I have been placed upon.

its nice to have him back to his regular brightness, even if he is a bit dark

took him outside for a bit, is color shows better out there. I love his bullseye spots on his back.

This just goes to show that you're taking good care of him. He already has some nice color. You'll have to keep us updated with pictures as your baby continues to grow.

Re: Post Shed BRB
Not entirely sure, I ordered him from General Exotics and they won't give out breeder's info. Based on other BRBs he's probably a May or June hatch. I've had him since August 31st.

Really? Wow. Will they even call the breeder for you to check DOB?

Re: Post Shed BRB
nope, doesn't sound like it, they don't even have a phone number listed. I just sent an email and we'll see what they say.

Re: Post Shed BRB
That's too bad. I wish more people would track items like parents and birth dates.

Thats the main reason I decided not to get my BRB from them. I was able to hold the parents of my snake before I got her. I've asked at my local pet shop (not a chain pet store) where they get their reptiles from and they just say from a wholesale company in Texas and have no records of birth dates or shed or feed dates from before they receive them.

Re: Post Shed BRB
I'm ok with it, we don't really have any breeders in the area, and herp shows are few and far between and usually require a decent drive. There's one in Omaha this weekend and one in April-ish, and one in Kansas City every other month, but Kansas City is now a 4 hour drive instead of 2.5 thanks to the Missouri River flooding

I understand that I was lucky to find a breeder 2 hours away. He still looks great regardless though so who cares about the other stuff as long as he is alive healthy and looking good IMO.
