there are MANY threads on here about mites if you just click the search button. as for getting rid of them, many people use PAM (prevent a mite), i've thankfully not had to deal with this yet so i don't have much advice. others will be more helpful, i'm sure.

hey i just went through a mite war about a month ago and the stuff called "mite off" barely works.so i bought this stuff called "De Flea Reptile Relief". right away i noticed a biig difference in the amount of mites and about 3 days later i moved him back into his original tank. works great. yu can also use it on the tank too.

its always worked first time everytime for me,unlike others which require multipule treatments
