ahh, family's gone and taken son with them!!

Wow, silence in the house!! Not a common thing in my world. My family decended on us last thursday and our itty bitty house was thrumming!! Almost all work on the enclosure came to a stop (life goes crazy when mamma arrives!)

However, all ends well. I got to watch mamma squirm when I told her I was setting up for a snake that eventually tops 4-5' (she thinks that is rather big) She eventually came around citing "that if she could end up liking Misty (an Iguana we had for many years) she could end up liking a snake. Then of course she had to tell the story of my trying to sneak a wild-caught garter snake home from vacation when I was like 9!!

Anyways, on top of it all, when she left yesterday, she took my son with her for a 2 week beach vacation!!!

Only down side is apparently, I am incapable of sleeping in even when childless!!

Yeah people tend to think 4 feet is big for a snake but it really isn't.

I didn't tell her that........yet, I'm breaking her in gently!!

Haha I love it when I talk to people about how small my snakes will be and they are all in shock telling me 5-6' is huge! On the other hand I am like you, with or with out my son home I am sleepless for the most part. At least the silence can be enjoyed!!

I keep looking over my shoulder to see where he is!! You know the "30 seconds of silence = trouble" rule!! I guess it hasn't sunk in yet that he's not here!!

Yep, mamma was shocked when I said it's only gonna be a small snake, 4-5'. But then again, after 36 years she knows me well enough to know not to argue!!

Thanks, finally got his home finished last night, I'm messing a tiny bit with the thermostat for the rest of today and get to go pick him up tonight. I can't wait!!!!!!
