Reptile website

I built this website from the ground up, pixel by pixel, line by line. I'd appreciate any constructive feedback regarding design, usability, etc.

Reptiles for Sale

Thanks.

Re: Reptile website

I'm not sure why the link keeps changing to "reptiles for sale," as I realize this isn't an advertising forum. All I'm typing in is the URL.

Re: Reptile website

The overall looks of the site are nice in my opinion. I feel that the site could be slightly better organized. Also I feel for the volume it appears things are being sold, there is no real appearance of validity, AKA no real concrete contact information like address and telephone number, a person's name, etc. I would not buy from this site, I'd be afraid it's going to close down overnight and I lose my money.

my 2cents. hope it helps!

Re: Reptile website

Fantastic photos, but not the selection I'd personally look for.
Great prices on some of it, I do agree with Candy thought.

Re: Reptile website

candyraver69/stephanbakir: That's excellent feedback (ie. appearance of validity). I will add more information in that regard.

stephanbakir: Could you elaborate on the animals "not being the selection" you'd personally look for? Thanks.

infernalis/uncle_rev: yes, wc.

Re: Reptile website

I actually thought the site looked really nice and had a nice selection of animals!

Please take this with a grain of salt, but one of the things I would consider doing is listing an actual physical address or something akin to that on the about faq. Now the prices, they are pretty neat for some of the off beat reptiles I was interested in.

However, fix the list price on your piebald, you have it listed at 149 which is the price of your pastel.

Otherwise I think the pictures are very striking!

Thanks LadyJustice33!

Uncle_Rev, thanks for the feedback, and good catch on the piebald, I'll make the adjustment.

Re: Reptile website

The site itself looks very good in my opinion, compared to most I view. However, the fact you are selling crocodile monitors will immediately tell me to buy all my reptiles elsewhere. Anyone selling these animals isn't very responsible in my eyes.

Re: Reptile website

Wow, 28.99 for a Sav, personally I think animals of that size and expertise shouldn't be the price of a meal for two at a restaurant, but that's just me.

Other then a few problems I have personally with prices (which is just me don't worry about it) I like the overall layout of the site and I think you did a really good job with it.

Savs and niles are imported in bulk. They generally cost between 20-25$ online, and $25-50 from a shop.

The realistic part- my nile eats about $70 in food a week, double what I paid for him last year as a hatchling.

I like retics, specifically higher end morphs and sunfires.

Re: Reptile website

Dehlida - Thanks for the kind words about the site. I understand what you're saying about the crocs. Maybe I put too much faith in hobbyists not to get in over their heads. I would like to see someone breed them, though, which is my hope.

Valvaren - I really appreciate the kind words, thank you.

Stephanbakir - Ah, I see what you're saying.
