What to do with my beloved collection?
As some of you may remember, I lost my job about a month ago. Because of this, I have been unable to pay rent and need to move back home That means no snakes! I've been growing my collection up to my six wonderful snakes and now I seemingly need to get rid of them. It really sucks because i'll only be living at home for about 6 months tops. It seems so drastic to get rid of my herps for 6 months, get my own place, and have to start building collection all over again. This has led me to research storage units in hopes they can accomodate snakes. I was also considering working volunteer for a humane society in exchange for housing my pets for a while. I was just wondering if anybody had any other suggestions. It'd really kill me to disperse my collection, for they are the main source of happiness in my life! What do you guys think!?

Re: What to do with my beloved collection?
You don't have a friend that can take them for you? This way you can relax knowing that they are all in good hands, visit them and you can get them back once you are on your feet again. I would never want to see a friend loose their pet....

Re: What to do with my beloved collection?
Ive been asking around, but it seems most of my friends are actually not very fond of snakes! (can't understand it myself lol) And the couple I have that do enjoy snakes also live with reptile hating parents. I'm so bummed My life's really took a downward turn lately, and my snakes are like my tool to balance my mind and stay grounded. I really really hope I can work something out.
P.S. If anyone on here would be willing, i'd drive a long, LONG way to keep my collection. Also would pay for food heating expenses upon pick up. PM me!

Thanks for your hopes guys. I will try my hardest to keep my collection together!! I'll drive a max of 8 hours each way, so even if you're far and want to help, don't be shy!!

Re: What to do with my beloved collection?
I am in albany. We are in the middle of a move and my fiance just lost her job the other day. HOWEVER, we are okay . My job is stable and we have and will always have time for our pets. I'll talk to the soon-to-be Mrs. and see if she agrees to making time for yours as well. How much time do you have? Shoot me a pm or email at kingxeyesore@gmail.com. Hopefully I can help. Life has sucked so much lately it would do us some good to help someone in a bind. No promises. She is better with money math ha. Email would be better as we dont have internet now so im using my phone. Still check here once a day though.
