Caught these 2 bluegills just a bit ago .

Yes it is a sand bluegill , it's a very rare game fish

Do you ever keep them as pets? Really fun aquarium fish IMO. Much more interesting/entertaining to watch then SA cichlids. Frankly, SA fish are wimps in comparison. I once mixed sunfish/small largemouths with big oscars/jags etc to see how the aggression would work... SA fish got forced into a small corner of the tank behind filter.. lOL

nice little bluegill we have a pond by the house and when we had the 55gl we put a few in there really cool fish as pets. but we let them go when they got too big for the tank.
