I didn't put him on the bluebird house this time since there are acutally babies in there now. (I didn't realize how prolific bluebirds were until I put up the bluebird house. They lay one set of eggs in early spring and another in late spring.)

Anyway, one of the best parts (for me at least) of owning an indigo is going outside with him and observing his behavior. He always seems to be on the hunt.

This is why they are called "indigo snakes", although it's hard to capture the actual color with a camera...




A mockingbird took some interest in Jack. He was checking him out from the roof of the next door neighbor's house, and eventually flew down to get a closer look. The bird knew to keep enough distance. You can see the bird in the image, he's about in the center of the picture below.

Yeah, since I like pretty much all reptiles, I live vicariously through these forums since I'm not currently in a situation where I can handle too many pets.
