New Frog VIV!

and no its not a poo in the water. We go the water level a bit high and the substrate is leaking color into the water.

Oh and here is someone who wanted her picture taken, Say hi to Jelly Bean!

Now we just need frogs! Also a plug in strip for the light and fogger and a water change so its not a tea fountain.

Re: New Frog VIV!

Jelly Bean! Obviously good kitty for posing.

Also what are those blue ball things? And where is the frog? Or do you not have it yet?

Re: New Frog VIV!

No froggies yet we are just getting it running. We will get fire bellied toads green tree frogs and bumble bee walking toads. The balls are called bio balls I think and they are from a wet dry out of tank filtration set up for salt water I got years ago.

What do the balls do exactly? I have never seen nor heard of them before.

Re: New Frog VIV!

What they do is provide surface area for bacteria to grow and help clean the water passing through aka biological filtration with mechanical assistance.

Re: New Frog VIV!

Got the Fogger working!! Also cleaned the water. The fogger wouldn't work with dirty water, weird huh?

Frogs eye view!

Down from the lid

I got a timer and set it for every two hours for I think 30 minutes of fog. It doesn't seem to spill up anto land much at all so I hope the frogs wont be afraid of the creepy water.
