Enclosure for a Nelson's Milksnake

I'm getting a small Nelsoni soon, I'm pretty sure I know everything I need but I just want someone who knows to double check. So will someone run me through everything I need?

Enclosure substrate hygrometer thermostat uth/flex wat hides possibly branches(duno if they are climbers) water dish and thermal gradient. (possibly a humid hide for when he/she is in shed)
Stay away from glass terrariums if you can help it, and especially screen tops.

Stephanbakir touched on everything, but why would you stay away from a Glass Terrarium w/ a screen top? As long as the snake has a temperature gradient to get to I do not see a problem with that type of set up. If using a glass terrarium you can either use a UTH underneath or on the side or back. If using UTH underneath I would suggest putting a thermostat on it to make sure you can keep a temperature of no more than 95 degrees. Even though there are people that offer temperature gradients between 70-100 and have good results. The larger the temperature gradient the better, your snake will pick what suits him best.

No real need for branches but for visual apperance its no problem, he/she may use at times. Hides are key and multiple hides in different areas are best. Moist hides are good also especially if your humidity levels are real low. Nelsoni are hardy animals, and good luck with it!

Main issues with glass enclosures and screen tops is keeping humidity up - not sure if this is an issue with this species tho

It's not, I keep all my milks in glass tanks with screen tops.
