I agree.
Ours was given to us. I was not really looking to get into Geckos at all, but then one evening the doorbell rang and there was a young man holding a 10 gallon aquarium in his hands, his mom didn't want to buy anymore crickets.

Re: my new leo
well there loss your gain lol. here i put an add onto a freebies website called freecycler and a few weeks later i had an email about 1, the women has a new born baby and didnt have the time for it, so i gained in getting a full setup and animal for free.
i wonder though, can you mix geckos or does it have to be morph specific such as all leos, as im thinking of putting a blizzard gecko in with my 1 as well as a normal gecko (2 females and 1 male hopefully)

Re: my new leo
Anything above 2 to a cage is honestly cutting a limit. And, of course, with another addition, it will need space as well. So, if you're wanting to house 2, house 2 females in, at least, a 20g long.
Do not house two males. It won't work out. Only house a male and a female if you want baby leos, but you, of course, will need space for them, as well, along with other things. I don't know if the male will need to be removed after breeding, though.
Females are probably your best bet. They're generally more docile and tolerating of one another. Just be sure to monitor their behavior together for a while. If they don't go at it, it should be good.
Also remember to quarantine before placing them together.

Re: my new leo
You leo looks like a male to me, judging by the head shape and size.
dont keep a male with the female, i can assure you he will pester her and you would probably end up with a starving female, and if she was to be gravid, wouldnt do her any favours, been there done that, paid the vets bills.
Mixing morphs is not a problem, but you need to be certain of the sexes first, 2 males and they will fight.

Re: my new leo
yeah, i can see by your other thread. do yourself a favour, only put another female in with her. A male will cause her problems.

Was that the petshop on the parade? If so I would get a second opinion as the girl in there told me that corn snakes can be found in the wild in the corn fields all over the UK They are not very clued up on reps!

Re: my new leo
Nice weight on your girl If you house another female, make sure she is very close to her size and weight. They have sharp little teeth and can get kinda bitey with each other.

Re: my new leo
I read somewhere on here that males can't be properly sexed until, at least, 6 months of age. Not sure if it's true or not, but that's what I'd read.
