Cool! I am soaking up as much as I can about these snakes. I knew there was western and eastern but not southern!!! I have seen pics of totally black easterns, that would be a sweet snake to have, then I wouldn't have to the a mexican black kingsnake lol.

Yes, southerns are indeed the smallest of the 3. Adult females are usually no larger than 22" or so with males smaller yet.
There are exceptions of course...

Oh I like that!! Lovely mineral too, I collect minerals but I don`t recognise that. Looks almost like an oceanic agate of some sort....

It is agatized coral found in my yard. I live in one of the areas known for it. (Ballast Point) -Tampa, FL

I agree, I wouldn't mind having one!  The only ones I see for sale in Canada are the Western Hognose, Easterns are illegal here!
