I recall these being brought up recently my local herp forum. Someone stated:

There's another thread which details the differences between some of the Chondrodactylus species. Those differences are scale counts and arrangement. Wild-caught Turner's are commonly exported from Tanzania as "Bibron's", which they were formerly considered a subspecies of. True Bibron's occur in RSA, which no longer exports.
