What can go in the Exo Terra 12x12x12?
What snake could live its life in a 12x12x12 exo terra terrarium? I was gonna use it for a scorpion but I had second thoughts after having kids. So now its sitting here waiting for something. I thought maybe a small snake... or maybe something else with out venom.
Know of anything?

A (male) garter snake would be OK. Females get too big.

A tarantula, or a scorpion would work in a 12x12x12!

#1. That cage is too small for much else.
#2. why not reassure people that there is more to garters than black and green stripes?

Garters live in my yard and they musk all over me all the time. They stink.
Besides, the get bigger than a sand boa or hognose dont they?

Chilli Rose would be best in that. Mine is in the same exo & doing fine. Nice & friendly if they do bite its like a large bee sting so unless your allergic to bee stings you should be fine.

Captives seldom musk. Only really scared snakes musk.
Males average 12-18 inches, females 24-30 inches. (however a 24 inch momma with a thick girth can be impressive.)
My females are all sweethearts that never get flighty when picked up.
Males are more skittish, however they put on a neat display, so you observe, feed and take care of, but refrain from mauling them and you will be fine.
Personally I leave my reptiles alone and observe them, constant handling by people stresses them out.

Re: What can go in the Exo Terra 12x12x12?
A nice little gecko is the Stenodactylus Sthenodactylus, my avatar is of my male. Females get about 4" and the males are about 3.5" a little smaller than the females. Here is a care sheet on them! I just sold mine, too much egg laying for me.
GGA Stenodactylus sthenodactylus
I would also go with the Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula, Mine is in that exact terrarium, they are terrestrial type of tarantula. Mines a real sweet heart never tried to bite or throw her hairs!

I hate spiders... heheh
I have a leo gecko already. Kinda want a male sand boa. Seems the tank will be ok and if I want to give him a bigger home later on maybe I can. That or a hognose.

Male Kenyan sand boa's are pretty small! There is a breeder in BC I believe.
