Attempting to build my own Snake Cages

I have a coastal carpet python, and a red tail boa.
I want to build them nice wooden cages, to get them out of their tanks.
I could really use some input on the in's and out's of doing this . . . ?

Re: Attempting to build my own Snake Cages

Personally, I find it rewarding to build cages.

It also saves money, I can build a cage for a whole lot less than I can buy one.

Simple rectangles are almost impossible to screw up. On this one, I moved the bulb up above the whole cage, and put a hole in the top to keep the snake off the heat lamp.
