Re: retics in action

Thanks for sharing. It really is amazing how an animal that large, and with no appendages can climb a tree that fast!

Re: retics in action

geat video mate

scrub pythons move in the same way at the same speed

carpets in general will climb like that

imo with retic's and scrubs attaining roughly the same lengths it gives them more surface area so greater speed

the retic moved at a fair speed on the ground as well

thanks for sharing that mate

cheers shaun

Re: retics in action

That retic climbed ~20-30 vertical feet in seconds....incredible! As you mentioned Shaun, climbing style is like a carpet. Also reminds me of BRBs.

Thanks for sharing.

Re: retics in action

Nice video, and a really great site overall. Just browsing the reptile page for a few seconds, I found videos on African Rock Pythons, Adders, Grass snakes, Green anacondas, burrowing pythons. Oh yeah, I got that sucker bookmarked. Thanks for sharing!

Re: retics in action

^^ Agreed! The tiger was lucky the retic didn't get a good grip on it, or it would have been lights out!
